Department of Performing Arts
STATE CONSERVATORY
Students of Department of Performing Arts in the Conservatory
have choir, dance and stage training halls, a concert hall for 100
people, a viewing classroom with video and DVD technologies,
individual study rooms and collective classrooms, a make-up room,
a decor-costume room, a library and a canteen.
Department of Performing Arts has been giving class concerts and
performing opera and ballet performances every year since the
day it started education. Graduated students can work in national
and international institutions in the field as opera and ballet soloist
artists, choir artists and educators, expert researchers, music and
performing arts educators, as well as art directors.
Postgraduate Education Opportunities
Students of the Department of Music and Performing Arts have
the opportunity to continue their graduate studies at the Fine Arts
Institute, Department of Music. In this program, opportunities are
offered to enable them to improve their skills in the academic field
as well as in the performance field.
After high school and undergraduate programs, Department of
Music students are accepted to important schools in Europe. Among
them are the most important conservatories of the world such as
Munich Hochschule für Music, Baremboim-Said Academy Berlin,
Royal Conservatory The Hague and Ecole Normale de Musique de
Paris.
Department of Performing Arts, with its Opera and Ballet Main Art
Branches, is one of the most important institutions where young
people who want to study opera and ballet coming from Anatolia
outside of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir can get education. The
Department also aims to train academicians in this field by opening
master’s and doctoral programs with its well-qualified academic
staff.
