INSTITUDE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
History
MEU Institute of Social Sciences was established in 1992 under the law
numbered 3837 and has been providing graduate and post-graduate
education with or without thesis since the academic year of 1993-1994. There
are 25 Master’s with Thesis, 2 Non-Thesis Master’s, 5 Non-Thesis Online
Education Master’s Programs, 7 Evening Education Non-Thesis Master’s
Programs, 13 Doctorate Programs of a total of 30 departments in our Institute.
Mission
The mission of the Institute of Social Sciences is to educate
researchers and experts who know the needs of our country,
are aware of the requirements of the age, have problem-based
and analytical thinking skills, can apply knowledge generation
processes in their field in the best way, and contribute to the
universal knowledge at national and international level.
Vision
The main vision of our Institute is to educate academicians,
researchers and specialist personnel needed other research
and service institutions in the basic areas of social, human and
administrative sciences within the framework of accepted
international standards.
Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of the Director of the
Institute:
Manager; is ultimately responsible to the Rector in the rational
use and development of the education capacity of the Institute and
its affiliated units, in taking security measures when necessary, in
providing the necessary social services to students, in execution of
education, scientific research and publication activities regularly
and in monitoring and controlling all activities.
Administrative Organization of the Institute and Their Duties:
Administrative Organization of the Institute; consists of the Institute
Secretary and the Secretariat Office and the units to be established
according to the need. The administrative unit (Personnel Affairs,
Movable Operations, Financial Affairs, Student Affairs, Online Education
Unit, Administrative Affairs, Editorial Office and Staff), which consists of
the staff affiliated to the Institute Secretariat, carries out the administrative
works of the Institute, which is located in Çiftlikköy Central Campus.
