Department of Foreign Trade (First Education-Evening Education)
Foreign Trade (First Education-Evening Education) Foreign Trade
Department Foreign Trade Program, in the 1993-1994 Academic
Year, started formal education in Mersin Vocational School,
Department of Economics and Administrative Programs, under
the name of Customs Business Program, and in the 2006-2007
academic year, it started evening education by taking students with
additional quota. Since the 2010-2011 academic year, it continues
its activities under the name of Foreign Trade Department.
The aim of the program is to train Foreign Trade Professional
Staff in the fields they need who can use effective communication
techniques in foreign trade, export, import, foreign trade
accounting, foreign exchange and customs clearance of enterprises
operating at national and international level etc. Considering
the change requests from external stakeholders and internal
stakeholders, necessary changes are made on lesson plans in order
to meet the needs of the day.
Our graduates are employed as in charge of import operations,
in charge of export operations, in charge of customs clearance,
etc. in foreign trade companies. They can take part in customs
clearance departments of Customs Consultancy firms. They can
work in logistics companies. With the KPSS exam they can work
as a Customs Enforcement Officer and Customs Inspection officer
in Customs Directorates.
Accounting and Tax
Accounting and Tax Applications (Daytime and Evening Education)
Accounting and Tax Applications Program started formal
education and later secondary education under the name of
Accounting Program in Mersin Vocational School Department
of Economics and Administrative Programs in 1978. In the same
period, our school got separated from Mersin Vocational School
under the name of Social Sciences Vocational School. Since the
2010-2011 Academic Year, the Accounting and Tax Department
has been continuing its education activities under the name of
Accounting and Tax Applications Program.
The purpose of the Accounting and Tax Applications program
is to record the transactions that occur in businesses that can be
expressed in money, and to ensure that the results are determined
and interpreted.
The graduates of the program work in Certified Public Accountant
and Certified Public Accountant offices. In addition, they can
work as accounting staff in many businesses such as insurance
companies, tourism, construction and industrial enterprises.
Our graduates have the right to complete a license in related fields
by taking the Vertical Transfer Exam.
Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services
Tourism and Hotel Management (Primary Education-Evening
Education)
Tourism Hotel Management Program has been accepting students
since 1978. Students are admitted to Formal and Evening Education
programs during the ÖSYM examination system. Candidates
who have completed their associate degree education have the
right to enroll in undergraduate programs or AÖF undergraduate
programs, provided that they get a valid grade in the DGS exam.
Program students attend professional practice courses and
administrative courses during their education. The students of the
Tourism and Hotel Management Department become effective
of hospitality management, human resources management,
marketing and international marketing, hotel accounting, tourism
law, knowledge about project marketing issues, and makes them
effective in principled professional issues and interdisciplinary
