General Information<br />
Institute of Natural Sciences of <strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong> launched<br />
graduate degree programs in the academic year 1993-1994 and<br />
has 20 Thesis Graduate Programs, 14 Doctorate Programs and<br />
2 Non-Thesis Graduate Programs (Evening Education) in 20<br />
Departments. As of the Spring Semester of Academic Year 2019-<br />
2020, 974 students including 756 graduate program students and<br />
218 doctorate students attend these programs.<br />
Our Institute is guided by our vision of further advancing the<br />
quality criteria for both our faculty members and students,<br />
enhancing university – industry cooperation, aligning the<br />
educational and teaching activities and goals of our Institute and<br />
with the Bologna process, creating an internationally competitive<br />
research environment facilitating the follow-up of scientific<br />
developments and technologies, and providing our students with<br />
an understanding and feeling of responsibility that will help them<br />
become modern, highly-qualified individuals who care about the<br />
problems of our country, address the needs of the society and<br />
practice what they have learnt for the welfare and benefit of our<br />
country.<br />
