FOREIGN LANGUAGES SCHOOL<br />
General Information<br />
As an important part of <strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong>,<br />
Foreign Languages School has been working to<br />
contribute the quality aims of the foundation<br />
giving foreign languages education with scientific<br />
and modern methods.<br />
There are 28 classrooms and a CALL lab in its<br />
school building.<br />
Currently, there are 81 academic staff, namely 2<br />
assistant professors and 79 lecturers, at Foreign<br />
Languages School. Among them, 23 lecturers<br />
are officially assigned other departments of the<br />
university. Foreign Languages School gives prep<br />
class education to 8 faculties and 2 vocational<br />
schools. Besides, compulsory language subjects<br />
are given to 6 faculties and 3 vocational schools<br />
within the university. Also, 12 personnel work as<br />
administrative staff in the school.<br />
Students can utilize various teachers’ knowledge<br />
and experiences as a classroom has several<br />
teachers. Modern textbooks and supplementary<br />
resources as well as technological ones are<br />
effectively used in order to achieve goals in the<br />
school.<br />
