VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES
Program and Electricity Program was opened in 1988 within the
body of Çukurova University Mersin Vocational School. Then
respectively; Mersin University Mersin Vocational School in 1992
and continued its education and training activities in Mersin
University Technical Sciences Vocational School in 2006. In 2009,
it was merged under the name of the Department of Electricity
and Energy with the structuring created according to the
ISCED 97 system. In the Department of Electricity and Energy,
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program and
Electricity Program continue education in Formal and Evening
Education. İKMEP is applied in our department’s programs.
The Development of Human Resources through Vocational
Education Project (IKMEP) aims to develop training programs
for employment among the labor market, vocational schools and
vocational and technical secondary education institutions, based
on fifth level vocational standards. In this context; Our programs
under the Department of Electricity and Energy, which provides a
wide range of employment opportunities for the energy sector in
industrialized countries, have been developed taking into account
the needs of the sector. Our department; It has the facilities of
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Laboratory and
Electricity Laboratory.
