General Information
Our faculty was established by the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated
December 7, 2016 and numbered 2991, upon the proposal of our Senate within Mersin University.
Our faculty is 36th among the Faculty of Theology / Islamic Sciences of State Universities in YKS; and, among
the 25 Faculty of Islamic Sciences, it ranked 4th after Ankara Social Sciences, Selçuk and Yıldırım Beyazıt
Universities.
Our faculty has started its educational activities by taking 62 students, 30 of which are female and 32 of which are
male, in the 2019-2020 academic year. 31 of our students graduated from Anatolian Imam-Hatip High School and
the others from different high schools.
