General Information
Mersin Vocational School, National Education in 1976 YAYKUR
(Non-formal Higher Education Institution) under its Ministry.
The school moved to Gazi High School building in 1978, Petro-
Chemistry Program was closed and restructured by opening
Chemistry, Machinery-Engine and Business Accounting
Programs andIt was named as Mersin Vocational School.Mersin
Education Institute with the addition of the Hotel Management
Program moved to its building; In 1982, with the law number 41,
ÇukurovaConnected to the University.
Mersin Vocational School, in 1988, YÖK / World Bank’s Industrial
Training Project.Under the names of Programs and Economic
and Administrative Programs,has been configured. Electrical,
Industrial in Technical Programs Electronics, Telecommunications,
Construction, Air Conditioning-Refrigeration,Control Systems
and Chemistry Programs; Economic and administrative In the
programs, Business, Accounting, Tourism-Hotel Management
and Office Management Programs opened.
Affiliated to Mersin University in 1992 by Law No. 3837 in the
school in 1996 within the Silifke Vocational School Stone-Metal
Management Program, Applied JewelryTechnology is structured
under the name of Technical Programs added. Electrical and
Industrial in 1997-1998 academic year. Dual education started in
Electronic Programs. Glass and Ceramic Technology Program,
2002-2003 education. In, Map and Cadastre Program was opened.
METEB project in the school, which also received TS-ENISO:
9001-2000 Quality Certificate in the same year .Mechanical and
Machine Drafting in Technical Programs,Automotive, Furniture
and Decoration Programs; Economic and administrative
Hairdressing and Skin Care Programs were opened in the
programs.
Industrial Automation to the Distance Education Program in
2003,Electronic Communications, Computer Technology and
Programming Programs have also been added, Machine Drafting
Program, Machine Combined with the program.
For Automotive Laboratory and Distance Education Unit in
2005 new residential areas were created. In the same year, within
the school Social Sciences by separating the Economics and
Administrative Programs. It was turned into a new school with
the name of Vocational School.

its unit. Myrtle In 2002, within the body of the University Mersin
Vocational School Distance Education Unit has been established
and internet-supported education in the academic year of 2002-
2003 It started with the Electronics (Electronics Technology)
program.In 2003, Computer Technologies andProgramming
(Computer Programming), Electronic CommunicationProgram
(Electronic Communication Technology), IndustrialAutomation
Program (Control and Automation Technology), 2009Business
Management and Pharmacy Services Programs,Health Institutions
Management, Medical Promotion in 2010and Marketing, in 2011,
Public Relations and PublicityWith the addition of undergraduate
programs, the number of programs increased to nine.has been
upgraded. Forestry in the 2012-2013 academic year,
Cosmetics Technology and Real Estate and Property Management
programsOpened, Property protection in the 2016-2017 academic
year and Occupational Health and Safety With the opening of the
program, the number of programs reached thirteen.
