ERDEMLİ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
The number of programmes increased to four with Accounting
and Tax Application Programme in 1995, the Banking and
Insurance Program, which started its education under the
name of Banking Program as a formal education in 1997 and
whose name and content was expanded in 2008.
Business Administration, Accounting and Tax Application,
Computer Programming, Banking and Insurance Program
Secondary Schools were opened in 2008-2009 Academic
year and the same year under the name of the Department
of Economics and Business Practices, Tourism Animation
Program’s education and training activities initiated, its
name was changed as Tourism Animation Program in the
Department of Entertainment and Entertainment by the
decision of Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in 2010-
2011. By the result of these augmentations the number of
programmes increased to 9.
The school currently continues its education activities with
six programs, these are Business Management, Accounting
and Tax Applications , Computer Programming, Banking and
Insurance, Tourism Animation Programs Formal Education
and Banking and Insurance Program Secondary Education.
As of THE May 2020, the total number of students enrolled
in our school is 1080, and when we look at the distribution
of students according to the programs; total number of
students: management and organization department 179,
accounting and tax applications department total students
203, finance-banking and insurance department formal
education students 192 and secondary education students
175 total number of students 367, travel-tourism and
entertainment services department The total number of
students is 135 and the computer technology department is
196 .
Erdemli Vocational School continues its education and
training activities in the building belonging to Erdemli
Municipality together with Erdemli School of Applied
Technology and Business Administration. In our Vocational
School, which is 35 km away from the central campus, there
are 10 classrooms, 1 application class, 2 laboratories with an
uninterrupted internet infrastructure and 121 computers
in total, as well as amphitheater and library facilities with a
capacity of 100 people.
Academic And Administrative Staff
By the year 2020, Our Vocational School has 2 phd lecturers, 14
lecturers, 3 waged lecturers, 3 of them are employed by Article
13 / b-4, and 8 of them are employed by Article 13 / b-4. . A
total of 30 academic staff work in other units. In addition, the
details of the academic staff of our department are published
on our website.
As of the year 2020, the total number of administrative staff
working in our school is 20; 4 are Data Preparation Control
Operators, 5 are Computer Operators, 1 is Technician, 1 is
Technician, 3 is Service / Support Staff, 6 are permanent
workers.
Social areas such as an indoor gym with basketball and
volleyball courts, dance and aerobics hall, photocopy and
stationery services unit, outdoor recreation areas, camellias
and various outdoor seating equipment are also available on
our campus. In the cafeteria of the campus, a healthy and
reasonable price, fixed menu meal is served every afternoon.
There is also a student canteen.
Due to the location of city, the region is aimed at domestic
tourism in the summer, students have accommodation
opportunities in the summer resorts during the winter. There
is a student dormitory affiliated with KYK. There is easy access
to the city (Mersin) center.
