The Map and Cadastre Program was opened in 2002 under the<br />
Technical Programs Department of <strong>Mersin</strong> Vocational School.<br />
The first student enrollment was made in the 2002-2003 academic<br />
year and the first graduates were given in 2004. After 2004,<br />
education and training continued under the Technical Programs<br />
Department of the Technical Sciences Vocational School. In 2009,<br />
it was included in the Department of Architecture and Urban<br />
Planning with the newly created structure to the ISCED 97 system.<br />
The program has a quota of 50 students. Students who successfully<br />
complete all of the courses available in the program (a total of 120<br />
ECTS) and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of<br />
4.00, and who have completed their vocational internship, are<br />
awarded an associate degree in the field of Mapping and Cadastre.<br />
This diploma degree corresponds to the fifth level of education<br />
within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework.<br />
Registration and acceptance conditions for this program are made<br />
within the scope of Turkish Higher Education Legislation. Graduates<br />
of vocational high schools are accepted to the program within the<br />
quota without an examination. Standard high school graduates are<br />
placed in the vacant quotas according to the results of the Higher<br />
Education Entrance Exam. Map Technician, which creates and<br />
implements the map and map information of many engineering<br />
projects, has critical tasks in all public works projects, especially in<br />
urban and rural areas. constitute their field of duty. The department<br />
is educating expert technical staff in fields such as land and industry<br />
measurements needed by the public and private sector, assessment<br />
and location determination, setting up and querying information<br />

The Automotive Technology Program was established in 2002 and<br />
has a total of 80 quotas, 40 in formal education and 40 in evening<br />
education. The program aims to train qualified intermediate<br />
technical staff that the automotive industry needs in both<br />
production and after-sales service levels in accordance with the<br />
quality and service philosophy that will meet the expectations of<br />
the age.<br />
Graduates who have completed the program and received the title<br />
of Automotive Technician can become a technical staff between<br />
the manager / engineer and the worker in the production and aftersales<br />
service sector, or an employee who has the qualifications to<br />
