GULNAR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL<br />
Management Programs became a separate directorate as Aydıncık<br />
Vocational School. Carpet Weaving and Rug Making Program was<br />
opened in 2001-2002 academic year. In the 2002-2003 academic<br />
year, the Department of Economics and Administrative Programs<br />
was opened and the Accounting and Tax Applications Program<br />
was opened within the same department.<br />
General Information<br />
Our Vocational School was established with the decision of the<br />
Executive Board of the Higher Education Council on April 2, 1990,<br />
affiliated to Selçuk <strong>University</strong> and in the academic year of 1990-<br />
1991, with 40 students to the Map Cadastre Program within the<br />
Department of Technical Programs, and in 1992 it was affiliated to<br />
<strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong> with the law numbered 3837.<br />
In the academic year of 1993-1994, students were taken to<br />
Greenhouse (Büyükeceli), Tourism and Hotel Management<br />
(Aydıncık) Milk and Products Programs.<br />
In the 1995-1996 academic year, the Milk and Products program<br />
was connected to Mut Vocational School, and the Greenhouse<br />
Program was transferred to Aydıncık in the same year. In 1997, the<br />
Greenhouse Program was attached to the Silifke Vocational School.<br />
In the 1994-1995 academic year, Construction, Furniture<br />
Decoration Programs were opened and students were accepted. In<br />
the 1995-1996 academic year, the Travel Management (Aydıncık)<br />
Program was opened and students were admitted. In the 1998-<br />
1999 academic year, Tourism and Hotel Management and Travel<br />
Since 2004-2005 academic year, no students are accepted to Map<br />
Cadastre and Construction Programs. In 2011, the Department of<br />
Materials and Materials Processing Technologies and its Furniture<br />
and Decoration program were changed to the Forestry Department<br />
of Forestry and Forestry Products. In addition, no students have<br />
been accepted to the Carpet Weaving and Rug Making Program<br />
since the 2011-2012 academic year. In the 2013-2014 academic year,<br />
the Plant and Animal Production Department was opened and a<br />
Sapling Growing Program was opened within the same department.<br />
Our school continues its education in its own service building<br />
with a total of three programs: Accounting and Tax Applications<br />
Program within the current Department / Program Accounting<br />
and Tax Department, Forestry and Forest Products Program<br />
within the Forestry Department, and Sapling Growing Program<br />
within the Department of Plant and Animal Production. The<br />
name of our school was changed to <strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong> Mustafa<br />
Baysan Vocational School in 2013.<br />
It serves with a service building with a closed area of 8,000 m2<br />
on an area of 13,084 m2. There are 7 Classrooms, 1 Computer<br />
Laboratory, 20-person Library, Kitchen, Food Service Hall,<br />
Application Garden and Multi-Purpose Open and Closed Sports<br />
Hall in the 3-storey central heating building.<br />
In our Academic and Administrative Staff of our School, 1 Faculty<br />
Member, 1 Dr. Lecturer.There are 14 Instructors, 6 Civil Servants<br />
and 10 Permanent Workers.<br />
In our school, students are provided with opportunities such as<br />
food service, cultural and technical trips, and spring festivals.<br />
