GULNAR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
Management Programs became a separate directorate as Aydıncık
Vocational School. Carpet Weaving and Rug Making Program was
opened in 2001-2002 academic year. In the 2002-2003 academic
year, the Department of Economics and Administrative Programs
was opened and the Accounting and Tax Applications Program
was opened within the same department.
General Information
Our Vocational School was established with the decision of the
Executive Board of the Higher Education Council on April 2, 1990,
affiliated to Selçuk University and in the academic year of 1990-
1991, with 40 students to the Map Cadastre Program within the
Department of Technical Programs, and in 1992 it was affiliated to
Mersin University with the law numbered 3837.
In the academic year of 1993-1994, students were taken to
Greenhouse (Büyükeceli), Tourism and Hotel Management
(Aydıncık) Milk and Products Programs.
In the 1995-1996 academic year, the Milk and Products program
was connected to Mut Vocational School, and the Greenhouse
Program was transferred to Aydıncık in the same year. In 1997, the
Greenhouse Program was attached to the Silifke Vocational School.
In the 1994-1995 academic year, Construction, Furniture
Decoration Programs were opened and students were accepted. In
the 1995-1996 academic year, the Travel Management (Aydıncık)
Program was opened and students were admitted. In the 1998-
1999 academic year, Tourism and Hotel Management and Travel
Since 2004-2005 academic year, no students are accepted to Map
Cadastre and Construction Programs. In 2011, the Department of
Materials and Materials Processing Technologies and its Furniture
and Decoration program were changed to the Forestry Department
of Forestry and Forestry Products. In addition, no students have
been accepted to the Carpet Weaving and Rug Making Program
since the 2011-2012 academic year. In the 2013-2014 academic year,
the Plant and Animal Production Department was opened and a
Sapling Growing Program was opened within the same department.
Our school continues its education in its own service building
with a total of three programs: Accounting and Tax Applications
Program within the current Department / Program Accounting
and Tax Department, Forestry and Forest Products Program
within the Forestry Department, and Sapling Growing Program
within the Department of Plant and Animal Production. The
name of our school was changed to Mersin University Mustafa
Baysan Vocational School in 2013.
It serves with a service building with a closed area of 8,000 m2
on an area of 13,084 m2. There are 7 Classrooms, 1 Computer
Laboratory, 20-person Library, Kitchen, Food Service Hall,
Application Garden and Multi-Purpose Open and Closed Sports
Hall in the 3-storey central heating building.
In our Academic and Administrative Staff of our School, 1 Faculty
Member, 1 Dr. Lecturer.There are 14 Instructors, 6 Civil Servants
and 10 Permanent Workers.
In our school, students are provided with opportunities such as
food service, cultural and technical trips, and spring festivals.
