AYDINCIK VOCATIONAL SCHOOL<br />
General Information<br />
Aydıncık Vocational School was established in <strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
in 1998. Aydıncık Vocational school has not accepted students yet.<br />
Aydıncık Vocational school campus building construction will be<br />
completed in 2020-2021. There are 4 department in total in our<br />
school.<br />
Our program with active student recruitment are as follows:<br />
1. Cookery<br />
2. Organic Agriculture<br />
3. Occupational Health and Safety<br />
4. Catering Services<br />
MARITIME VOCATIONAL SCHOOL<br />
General Information<br />
Maritime Vocational School has started its educational<br />
activities in 2009, Tece Campus, <strong>Mersin</strong> <strong>University</strong>. There are<br />
three educational programmes at Maritime Vocational School,<br />
Maritime Transportation and Management, Ship Machinery<br />
Management and Maritime and Port Management. They are all<br />
two year educational programmes. One year of English course<br />
education is optional on demand. Educational and training<br />
programmes and other administrative activities are carried out<br />
by academic and administrative staff expert in field.<br />
Graduates of Maritime Transportation and Management,<br />
are qualified to work as deck (watchkeeping) officer after<br />
completing 12 months on board training and examinations<br />
successfully. Graduates of Ship Machinery Management,<br />
are qualified to work as engineer officern after completing 6<br />
months on board training and 6 months workshop training<br />
and examinations.<br />
Graduates of Maritime and Port Management are qualified<br />
to work as yachtmaster after completing 3 months on board<br />
training and examinations successfully*. Graduates of this<br />
educational programme can also work in maritime and logistic<br />
companies. (*Related terms can be changed according to<br />
legislation rules.)<br />
Within the scope of the opportunities provided to students,<br />
equipments and softwares that are in accordance with the<br />
international maritime educational requirements are used in<br />
theoretical and practical courses. Moreover, areas of Lifesaving<br />
Appliences Training Platform, Fire Training Platform, Bridge<br />
Operation and Engine Room Simulators are among the facilities<br />
offered to students.<br />
There are classrooms, laboratories, a computer lab, brigde<br />
operation and engine room simulators, other equipments<br />
and devices used in maritime education and a library in Tece<br />
Campus building. And also social and other activity areas exist<br />
for the common use of students and Maritime Student Society.<br />
Students can also participate in activities of various cultural,<br />
sports and arts events organized by the student groups.<br />
