disturbing growth in your body, if it matters to you, it matters to your Daddy God. Our Lord Jesus tells us, “The very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore” (Luke 12:7). I find that so amazing—your Abba loves you so much He takes time to count the very hairs on your head! I love my daughter, Jessica, and my son, Justin, very much, but I have never counted nor kept a record of how many strands of hair they have on their heads. Apparently, most people have an average of about one hundred thousand hair follicles and lose between fifty and one hundred hairs each day. 2 So even if I tried counting how many hairs my kids have, the numbers would constantly change. Yet the Lord knows precisely how many hairs are on each of our heads at any moment. EVERY LITTLE DETAIL ABOUT YOUR BODY MATTERS TO HIM.
How much more do you think it matters to Him when your body is under attack by a sickness that robs you of your health? Beloved, He loves you so much, and every one of your cells, every tissue, and every organ in your body matters to Him. Do not fear, for the Lord Himself—the One who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the flowers of the field— takes care of you (Matt. 6:25–33). Every time you are fearful, turn to His perfect love that drives out every fear. GOD DESIRES FOR YOU TO PROSPER AND BE IN HEALTH As I write this book, the Lord has been speaking to me about healing in a very strong way. He has led me to read a verse I believe articulates clearly His will for us. It was written by the disciple whom Jesus loved, the disciple who was an eyewitness as Jesus went about healing all who came to Him, the disciple who leaned on Jesus’ bosom and knew the heartbeat of His love: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul
