Continue reading what David wrote. Psalm 13
ends with this:
But I have trusted in Your mercy;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the LORD,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me.
(Ps. 13:5–6)
But.
One little word that makes all the difference.
It may feel like hopelessness might overcome
you, but don’t give up. In the original Hebrew, the
word the psalmist David used for mercy is hesed
(grace), while the word used for salvation is yeshua.
Keep trusting in His grace. Keep your eyes on your
Yeshua, your Jesus. Your salvation—welfare,
deliverance, and victory—is found in Him!
As you talk to the Lord and spend time in His
presence, you will find He does not give you the
answer; He is the answer. Even when your outward
circumstances do not seem to change, you will find
that you have changed. Look at what happened to
