Because of Jesus’ blood, God imputed righteousness to you the moment you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There is no barrier between you and God (Eph. 2:13). You can come before God boldly. You can draw near to Him to find help in your time of need (Heb. 4:16; 10:19–22). Whatever challenges you might be facing, whether it is your health, emotions, finances, or relationships, you don’t have to handle them alone. The Creator of all heaven and earth calls you His own precious child (John 1:12; 1 John 3:1). Run to Him! And if the blood of an animal could protect the children of Israel from the plague, how much more will the holy, sinless blood of the Son of God protect you from destruction and shield you from any sickness? I am not saying that as a believer you will never fall sick. Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world. But if you do fall sick, you have the bloodbought right to declare that by the stripes your Savior bore, you are healed. You have the bloodbought right to claim health and wholeness as your portion. HOW TO PARTAKE OF THE LAMB
Don’t you love seeing Jesus in the Passover? I really believe the more you see Him in the Passover, the more you will experience healing and deliverance. Don’t just skim through the book of Exodus and see it as a historical record of something that happened a few thousand years ago. I love the little details the Holy Spirit recorded, and I believe when you take time to search out the Scriptures, the eyes of your understanding will be opened and you will see revelations of Jesus you had never seen before. For instance, look at God’s instructions on how the Israelites were to eat the Passover lamb: Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire—its head with its legs and its entrails. (Ex. 12:8–9) The children of Israel were told not to eat the Passover lamb raw. How does this apply to us? When we partake of the holy Communion, we should not be focusing on our Lord Jesus’ life in raw form before He had been “burned” by the fire of God’s judgment on the cross.
