He knows the secret fears of <strong>your</strong> heart as you<br />

burdens that weigh you down as the doc<strong>to</strong>rs tell you<br />

about the long-term complications, side effects, <strong>and</strong><br />

financial cost that tr<strong>eat</strong>ment would entail. Run <strong>to</strong><br />

Him, <strong>and</strong> cast all <strong>your</strong> anxieties, all <strong>your</strong> worries,<br />

<strong>and</strong> all <strong>your</strong> concerns on Him, for He cares about<br />

you with deepest affection, <strong>and</strong> watches over you<br />

very carefully (1 Peter 5:7 AMP).<br />

As you take time <strong>to</strong> commune with Him <strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong><br />

remember Him through the holy Communion, do<br />

you know what happens? You become an “intimate<br />

participa<strong>to</strong>r” of the benefits of the body <strong>and</strong> the<br />

blood. Just as those who ate of the sacrifices become<br />

“partakers of the altar” (1 Cor. 10:18), when you <strong>eat</strong><br />

the bread <strong>and</strong> drink the cup, you become a partaker<br />

of all Jesus accomplished at the cross. As you drink<br />

the cup, that is communion with <strong>and</strong> sharing in the<br />

blood of Christ (1 Cor. 10:16 NASB). As you take<br />

the broken bread, you are participating in the body of<br />

Christ that was broken for you (1 Cor. 10:16 NIV).<br />
