Throughout Justin’s time in the hospital, Wendy
and I were very conscious of the Lord’s hand of
protection upon our child. His injuries could have
been so much worse. The fractures narrowly missed
the main blood vessels in his head, which would
have led to a hemorrhage and could have damaged
his brain. There also was a bone fragment that
somehow got pushed away from his brain instead of
being lodged in it.
As his parents, there is no way we can keep him
in a cocoon and protect him twenty-four hours a day,
but we saw how the Lord Himself protected Justin
and saved him from sustaining injuries that could
have been much more devastating.
