checkup.
At the hospital, the doctors put him through a CT
scan and discovered he had fractured his skull.
After he started throwing up, they decided to
conduct a more detailed scan. This time, they found
another fracture in his skull they had not detected
earlier. They also discovered some bleeding in his
skull where the fracture happened, as well as blood
in his middle ear.
It was heart-wrenching for me to watch my little
six-year-old boy crying and clutching his head,
twisting and turning in a vain attempt to stop the
intense pain. My normally lively Justin suddenly
became weak and lethargic, and it didn’t help that he
was throwing up and could not eat. It was also not
easy for me to look at the scans and listen to his
doctor talk about the possible effect of the injury on
Justin’s brain. Fear crept into my heart, and it was
truly a fight to remain at rest.
