Even if you find yourself walking through the
valley of the shadow of death, you can fear no evil,
for your Good Shepherd is with you. Some years
ago, I saw for myself how the Lord brought someone
through the valley of the shadow of death and
literally brought her back from death to life through
the holy Communion.
BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE
For years we had been organizing trips to Israel for
the people in our church. One day we were informed
there had been an emergency. One of the ladies from
our church had just landed in Tel Aviv. As she was
disembarking from the plane, she suddenly collapsed
and started foaming at the mouth. An ambulance was
immediately dispatched, but on the way to the Assaf
Harofeh Medical Center, she suffered a cardiac arrest
and her heart stopped. At the hospital, the doctors
tried to save her, but there was no response and they
almost gave up. Fortunately, they managed to
resuscitate her. They were only able to keep her alive
through life support, however, and her condition
remained critical.
