7. REVELATION BRINGS RESULTS If you have been reading this book from the start, I pray that you have begun to see that whatever medical condition you or your loved one might have, there is hope. There is hope because you are not on your own, and you are not your own—you belong to a God who loves you with a love so intense that you could never comprehend the length and breadth and depth and height of His exceeding love toward you. It is a love that surpasses knowledge, a love that is too great to ever understand (Eph. 3:18–19).
There is hope because you belong to a God who could not leave you to suffer disease and sickness and sent His own beloved Son to bear all your pains and your sicknesses upon His own body. There is hope because you belong to a God who has given you a practical way by which you can have access to His healing power any time. You can come to Him freely. There are no religious hoops to jump through, no qualifications you have to meet. He has already qualified you, and the only thing you need to do is to respond to His invitation when He took the bread and said, “Take, eat; this is My body,” when He took the cup and said, “Drink from it, all of you” (Matt. 26:26–27). I pray that you have caught a revelation of what to eat to live a life that is brimming with vitality and have a body that is filled with divine health and strength. In this and the next chapter, I want to share with you about how to eat of the Lord’s Supper for life and health. It might seem strange to you that I would want to write about how to partake of the holy Communion. Isn’t it just about eating (chewing and swallowing) and drinking, which aren’t exactly skills that need to be taught? My friend, partaking of the Communion does involve eating and drinking. But it
