FLUJO CON EFECTOS DE FLOTABILIDAD de densidades entre los chorros y por tanto los efectos debidos a la flotabilidad son dominantes, lo que produce una fuerte inhibición del proceso de mezcla a pequeña escala. A diferencia de lo que ocurre en el caso de flujo homogéneo, para los perfiles de velocidad hasta la altura (z¡D) estudiada en el caso de Rl = 1.53, no se encuentra un único pico en el espectro sino que ya a la salida del chorro, como se detallará en el apartado 5.2.2, además de un pico dominante en el entorno de 24 Hz. aparece un pico secundario que tiende a incrementarse cuando nos alejamos del borde de la tobera en el sentido de la corriente. Este segundo pico, aproximadamente de 14 Hz, coincide con el encontrado en los experimentos sin efectos de flotabilidad y por tanto se deduce que las inestabilidades debidas a la configuración del experimento dominan el desarrollo de la mezcla. Las imágenes grabadas en video, como se acaba de comentar, corresponden al flujo de número de Richardson más elevado, flujo con el que se han obtenido los perfiles de velocidad media hasta la distancia adimensional z!D 2. Se han seleccionado para la perturbación exterior las dos frecuencias encontradas mediante el cálculo de los espectros, es decir 24 y 14 Hz. Las imágenes obtenidas se presentan y analizan en el apartado 5.2,3, 5.2 Presentación e interpretación de los resultados 5.2.1 Flujo natural Para poder describir de una forma más extensa el comportamiento del flujo natural con efectos de flotabilidad, como ya se ha comentado, se han realizado dos tipos de ensayos. Por un lado, se ha estudiado la variación de velocidad media axial en el centro del chorro primario en función de la distancia (z/D), para los seis casos 216
