give to the project ? Do
you find it useful to maintain
the network that was
created ?
Technical support to
countries in developing
and implementing mental
health legislation is
an ongoing component
of the project and countries
such as Ghana and
Lesotho will continue
to receive assistance in
the process of reforming
their mental health laws.
Strong collaborative links
have been established
between the Institute
of Social and Preventive
Medicine of the UNIGE
and the Department
of Mental Health and
Substance Abuse of the
WHO. Dr. Chastonay
and Dr. Kabengele are
now members of WHO’s
network of experts and
will continue to be involved
in WHO’s work.
By keeping in regular
contact and informing
each other of ongoing
and planned activities
in the area of health and
human rights, the partners
of the project hope
to find future opportunities
for collaboration.
The network put in place
during this project will
certainly remain active
in the future.
