Fig. 1 : Th2 cytokine mRNA transcriptions in the duodenal mucosa (DM) and in the
duodenal mesenteric lymph node (MLN) from previously-infected, primary-infected and
uninfected control sheep.
IL-5 mRNA (A : in DM and B: in MLN), IL-4 mRNA (C: in DM and D : in MLN), were
quantified and measured in each duplicate sample using an external standard. Results are
expressed after normalization (ratio) with a housekeeping gene (ovine Beta-actin) Small black
squares represent the mean of each group.
of T. colubriformis fourth-stage larvae (L4) or adult worms, or crude extract of L3
(CEL3)) antigens, in previously-infected, primary-infected and uninfected control sheep.
A : Total mucus IgG against CEL3 ; B : Total mucus IgG against L4 ESP ; C : Total mucus
IgG against adult worms ESP ; D : Mucus IgA against CEL3 ; E : Mucus IgA against L4 ESP
and F : Mucus IgA against adult worms ESP . Small black squares represent the mean of each
group. Asterisks are mentioned when a significant statistical difference exists between the
three groups (P
