Another decisive phase for the
requalification of the quarter is
Villa Bombrini, which has reopened
its garden to the public, becoming

È un’altra tappa decisiva per la riqualificazione
del quartiere. Già
villa Bombrini, con il suo giardino
riaperto al pubblico, è divenuta un
centro vivo, dove operano 24
aziende dell’audiovisivo e la Film
Commission regionale, dove anche
questa estate si sono svolti spettacoli
e concerti, e laboratori rivolti
ai bambini. Anche Villa Serra, la
sede del vecchio Comune, è in via
di restauro e tra l’altro è stato scoperto
un ninfeo che ora verrà risanato.
Sono poi stati realizzati 162
parcheggi pubblici gratuiti e verrà
ricavato un grande parco nei quasi
12 mila metri quadrati sui quali
sorgevano i due gasometri abbattuti.
Infine la nuova ampia strada a
mare che è in costruzione sui terreni
ex siderurgici. Sarà completata
per l’inizio del 2014 e scatterà allora
il progetto per ridare nuova vivibilità
all’intera via Cornigliano,
finalmente liberata dal traffico pesante,
oggi l’unica fonte di disagio
e di inquinamento rimasta. Già si
discute se dovrà essere definita una
“rambla” o un “boulevard”.

Cornigliano. Tra le novità attese
nel futuro del quartiere del
ponente genovese, la nuova ampia
strada a mare già in costruzione
sui terreni ex siderurgici e il
restauro di Villa Serra. Già avviati
con successo il progetto di
recupero delle facciate dei palazzi
delle vie principali (a sinistra, una
delle 72 già restaurate) e le tante
iniziative del polo culturale di Villa
Bombrini. Nell'altra pagina, uno
dei concerti in villa di questa
estate e un'immagine dei
laboratori Arci organizzati per
favorire l'integrazione dei tanti
immigrati residenti nel quartiere.
