Maré <strong>de</strong> Sabores<br />
O Maré <strong>de</strong> Sabores, projeto <strong>de</strong> gastronomia, faz parte das ativida<strong>de</strong>s<br />
promovidas pela Re<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> Desenvolvimento da Maré, iniciativa da socieda<strong>de</strong><br />
civil que promove a inclusão social e o <strong>de</strong>senvolvimento sustentável<br />
das comunida<strong>de</strong>s. O projeto ensina gastronomia e empreen<strong>de</strong>dorismo<br />
a mulheres moradoras <strong>de</strong> diferentes comunida<strong>de</strong>s da Maré, em sua<br />
maioria chefes <strong>de</strong> família e vítimas <strong>de</strong> violência. Ali, elas apren<strong>de</strong>m a<br />
fazer quitutes, bolos, pães, massas, salgados e, sobretudo, a importância<br />
<strong>de</strong> uma alimentação saudável. O grupo <strong>de</strong> mulheres trabalha em uma<br />
cozinha industrial montada na Lona Cultural da Maré. Os produtos usados<br />
são orgânicos, locais e <strong>de</strong> qualida<strong>de</strong>. O projeto também oferece diversos<br />
serviços: da venda <strong>de</strong> produtos congelados – pães, bolos e massa<br />
fresca – à preparação <strong>de</strong> bufê, lanches e festas. Algumas participantes já<br />
criaram negócios próprios, produzindo encomendas para festas e servindo<br />
refeições <strong>de</strong>ntro da comunida<strong>de</strong>.<br />
The Maré dos Sabores gastronomy project is one of the activities<br />
promoted by the Re<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> Desenvolvimento da Maré, a civil society project<br />
to promote social inclusion and sustainable community <strong>de</strong>velopment.<br />
The project teaches cookery and entrepreneurship to female resi<strong>de</strong>nts of<br />
various Maré communities, most of whom are heads of families or victims<br />
of abuse. The women learn to make <strong>de</strong>licacies, cakes, bread, dough, savory<br />
snacks and, most important of all, to appreciate the importance of healthy<br />
nourishment. They work in an industrial kitchen at the Lona Cultural da<br />
Maré. The ingredients used are good quality, organic and local. The Maré <strong>de</strong><br />
Sabores project also provi<strong>de</strong>s a variety of services: from the sale of frozen<br />
products — bread, cakes and fresh dough — to catering for buffets and<br />
parties. Some of the women involved have set up their own businesses,<br />
supplying food for parties and meals within their own communities.<br />
