Inaugurado em 1907, o local já foi um importante armazém<br />
que atendia a clientela famosa do centro do <strong>Rio</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Janeiro</strong>. Hoje,<br />
transformou-se num botequim tradicional, on<strong>de</strong> grupos <strong>de</strong> amigos<br />
conversam petiscando porções alentadas <strong>de</strong> salaminho e queijo,<br />
acompanhadas <strong>de</strong> cerveja ou vinho. Reduto <strong>de</strong> sambistas, a atmosfera<br />
tranquila se transforma quando é tomada pela animação dos<br />
músicos.<br />
Inaugurated in 1907, this place used to be an important food<br />
storehouse supplying famous customers in the center of <strong>Rio</strong>. It is<br />
now a traditional street bar cum eatery, where groups of friends<br />
chat as they nibble at generous portions of salami and cheese<br />
accompanied by wine or beer. A favourite venue for samba musicians,<br />
who pump up the normally quiet atmosphere with their rhythms.<br />
