filé-mignon batizado em sua homenagem e que fez a fama da casa.<br />

Oswaldo Aranha, a politician from southern Brazil, used to come<br />

here for the filet mignon with garlic, farofa, potatoes and rice, and<br />

the café is still famous for the dish today. Café Lamas serves a wi<strong>de</strong><br />

range of well prepared simple dishes, including caldo ver<strong>de</strong> (a typical<br />

Portuguese broth of sausage, greens and potatoes). Servings start<br />

early with an ample breakfast of rolls, toast, coffee, milk, jam, butter,<br />
