Bar do Tino<br />

SANTA TERESA<br />

O caminho é <strong>de</strong> abrir o apetite. A Baía <strong>de</strong> Guanabara, vista da laje do<br />

seu Tino, é <strong>de</strong> encher os olhos. Quando ficou <strong>de</strong>sempregado, Leandro,<br />

filho <strong>de</strong> seu Tino, vislumbrou potencial na paisagem: construiu um<br />

terraço e uma cozinha sobre o bar <strong>de</strong> seu pai e, ali, começou a servir<br />

grelhados. A churrasqueira para preparar o frango e a costela ao bafo,<br />

que são assados no calor, sem contato com a brasa, veio <strong>de</strong> Santa Catarina.<br />

Quatro anos <strong>de</strong>pois, Leandro encontrou emprego, mas continuou,<br />

com a ajuda da família, a servir churrasco aos domingos. O frango ao<br />

bafo é o mais pedido. Os moradores do condomínio vizinho usam o serviço<br />

<strong>de</strong> entrega em domicílio. É Herbert, filho <strong>de</strong> Leandro, quem entrega<br />

os franguinhos tenros, servidos com arroz, feijão, farofa, batata frita e<br />

molho à campanha (tomate, cebola e pimentão ver<strong>de</strong>).<br />

The climb will give you an appetite, but the view of the Guanabara<br />

Bay from Tino's will bring tears to your eyes. When Leandro, Tino's<br />

son, lost his job, he saw potential in the landscape itself and ad<strong>de</strong>d<br />

an extra floor, over his father's bar to set up a grill. A barbeque for<br />

slow-cooking chicken and ribs with no contact with the charcoals was<br />

brought up from Santa Catarina. Four years later, Leandro found<br />

a job, but with the help of the family, he still keeps the business<br />

running on Sundays. His slow-cooked chicken is a favorite. Resi<strong>de</strong>nts<br />

in the neighboring condos are regulars for his food <strong>de</strong>livery service.<br />

Leandro's son Herbert is responsible for <strong>de</strong>livering the ten<strong>de</strong>r, tasty<br />

chicken with si<strong>de</strong>-dishes of rice, beans, manioc meal, French fries and<br />

molho à campanha (tomato, onion and green pepper sauce).<br />
