As carrocinhas <strong>de</strong> Angu do Gomes, símbolo da i<strong>de</strong>ntida<strong>de</strong> gastronômica<br />
do <strong>Rio</strong>, estiveram presentes em toda a cida<strong>de</strong> entre as décadas<br />
<strong>de</strong> 1950 a 1980. O prato substancioso e com preço popular, aliviava a<br />
fome <strong>de</strong> trabalhadores e boêmios. Hoje com en<strong>de</strong>reço fixo, e gerenciado<br />
pelo neto <strong>de</strong> um dos fundadores das carrocinhas, preserva a<br />
tradição <strong>de</strong> servir angu <strong>de</strong> fubá com miúdos <strong>de</strong> boi.<br />
Angu do Gomes food carts, a symbol of <strong>Rio</strong>'s gastronomic i<strong>de</strong>ntity,<br />
were to be found all over the city from the 1950s to the 1980s, when<br />
their reasonably priced, hearty fare used to appease the hunger of<br />
laborers and travellers. Today, the grandson of one of the foun<strong>de</strong>rs<br />
food cart network, runs this bar, which preserves the tradition of<br />
angu <strong>de</strong> fubá, cornmeal mush, served with cow's offal.<br />
