Nova Capela<br />

Aberto em 1903, o bar e restaurante Nova Capela é uma tradição da<br />

boêmia carioca. Antigamente, localizado no Largo da Lapa, mudou <strong>de</strong><br />

en<strong>de</strong>reço com a reurbanização do bairro. Além <strong>de</strong> petiscos e bebidas<br />

serve pratos da gastronomia portuguesa e aten<strong>de</strong> seus frequentadores<br />

até altas horas da madrugada. Experimente o bolinho <strong>de</strong> bacalhau<br />

e não <strong>de</strong>ixe <strong>de</strong> provar o prato da casa: cabrito. Tostadinho, crocante,<br />

suculento, com bastante alho frito em cima, é servido com batatas<br />

coradas e arroz <strong>de</strong> brócolis. Patrimônio cultural do <strong>Rio</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Janeiro</strong>.<br />

Foun<strong>de</strong>d in 1903, the Nova Capela bar-restaurant traditionally<br />

attracts <strong>Rio</strong>'s Bohemians. Previously situated on Largo da Lapa,<br />

it moved premises following urban renewal in the area. Besi<strong>de</strong>s<br />

savory tidbits and drinks, it serves Portuguese cuisine and stays open<br />

until the early hours. Worth a try are the bolinhos <strong>de</strong> bacalhau, cod<br />

fritters, and the succulent house specialty, gol<strong>de</strong>n-brown, crisp, ovenroast<br />

kid smothered with fried garlic and served with roast potatoes<br />

and rice with broccoli. A <strong>Rio</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Janeiro</strong> cultural heritage site.<br />
