The Mônaco bar-restaurant is situated a block away from the beach<br />

and is famous for its live crabs, on display virtually on the pavement.<br />

With the waiter's help, you can choose the ones you want cooked. The<br />

restaurant also serves some of the best shrimp empadinhas (pastry<br />

with filling) in town and a huge variety of fresh fish. The grilled<br />

sardines and moqueca (seafood stew), served in generous portions,<br />

are also great dishes.<br />
