Ao iniciar a carreira no McDonald's, Isaías Neries não po<strong>de</strong>ria supor<br />

que ainda viria a participar <strong>de</strong> várias edições da BioFach, feira mundial<br />

<strong>de</strong> produtos orgânicos, em Nuremberg. Muito aconteceu em sua<br />

trajetória até que fosse convidado a trabalhar na Pousada Parador<br />

Lumiar. Ali, a natureza dita o compasso <strong>de</strong> sua cozinha, que é quase<br />

uma extensão da horta, herdada ao chegar. O cozinheiro tira da terra<br />

muito do que usa em seus fogões: das amoras que viram geleia ao<br />

ruibarbo que vira sorvete.<br />

When he started working at McDonald's, no way did Isaías Neries<br />

imagine that one day he would be regularly taking part at BioFach,<br />

the organic product world fair event in Nuremburg. After various ins<br />

and outs, he was asked to work at the Parador Lumiar guesthouse.<br />

There nature dictated the direction of his cooking, which is almost an<br />

extension of the vegetable gar<strong>de</strong>n he inherited. Much of the ingredients<br />

he uses come from the gar<strong>de</strong>n: from the blackberries with which he<br />

makes jam to the rhubarb with which he makes ice-cream.<br />
