SUMMARY
My thesis is a presentation of autism and shows how a child with autism feels in regular
education. Experts believe that autism is a developmental disorder, for which they do not
know the precise cause of the occurrence. It is a combination of deficits, which are reflected
in three areas: communication, behavior and socialization. Such child needs an understanding
environment and specific treatment.
With the case study I wanted to find out how children with autism feel in regular education. I
was also wondering how they are perceived by their classmates, teachers, and the school
management. I wanted to find out whether parents of these children receive help and
guidance about their children's education. I was also curious about the teacher's opinion
regarding integration and inclusion. I got the answers to these questions by having interviews
and surveys with teachers who teach an autistic student. This way the picture of how
employees accept an autistic student became clearer.
