Einkünfte aus diesem Sektor waren 2003 bei 4,1 Milliarden Dollar, davon 3,5 Milliarden Dollar von der Regierung der USA: 163 Information Technology: „Information Technology is a premier provider of advanced information technology (IT) solutions, engineering, and business services for government and commercial customers“. 164 Somit sind die wesentlichen Produkte Computersysteme, die in erster Linie für das Department of Defense hergestellt werden und in den Bereichen Training und Simulation eingesetzt werden und den Bereich IT abdecken. Von der Regierung bekam man für dieses Angebot 2003 4,2 Milliarden Dollar, der gesamte Sektor verzeichnete Einkünfte von 4,8 Milliarden Dollar. Integrated Systems: „Integrated Systems includes the Air Combat Systems, Airborne Early Warning & Electronic Warfare Systems, and Airborne Ground Surveillance & Battle Management Systems business areas“ 165 , also eine Konzentration dieses Sektors auf die Unterstützung der Air Force im Bereich Radar- und Waffensysteme und hier der Produzent von Joint STARS und Global Hawk. 3,5 Milliarden Dollar kamen 2003 von der Regierung, weitere 200 Millionen Dollar von anderen Abnehmern. Ship Systems: „Ship Systems is one of the nation’s leading full service systems providers for the design, engineering, construction, and life cycle support of major surface ships for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, international navies, and for commercial vessels of all types.“ 166 Dieser Sektor konzentriert sich also auf Schiffe, auf den Bau von Schiffen für die Navy und Küstenwache der USA. Hauptauftraggeber auch in diesem Sektor ist die Regierung, die 2003 5,3 Milliarden Dollar an Ship Systems von Northrop Grumman bezahlte, andere Abnehmer kamen auf 175 Millionen Dollar. 163 Vgl. Der kleinste Sektor im Gebilde von Northrop Grumman hat nur rund 9000 Mitarbeiter und Einkünfte 2003 von 2,8 Milliarden Dollar, von Regierungsseite allein 2,7 Milliarden Dollar. Newport News: Newport News ist im Bereich der Atomkraft tätig und hier zuständig für die Produktion von atombetriebenen Flugzeugträgern und U-Booten. Jeder Sektor ist noch in kleinere Untergruppen unterteilt, die dann auf gewisse Produkte spezialisiert sind.
