2008); at Ästhetischen Zentrum [Center for Aesthetics] of the University of Bielefeld<br />
(31 October, 2008); and at Einstein Forum in Potsdam. In addition, I gave the following interviews:<br />
Deutschlandradio Kultur [German Radio, Cultural Issues Station] interviewed me on<br />
the Art Basel (9 June, 2009). The German Historical Museum Berlin invited Wolfgang Ullrich<br />
and myself for a debate on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Jean Calvin’s birthday<br />
(6/7 May, 2009). Barbara Basting on DRS 2, Reflexe [Swiss Radio DRS 2, Reflections] interviewed<br />
me on the fall of the Berlin Wall, art and the Cold War (19 June, 2009). As a former<br />
model for the brand Parisienne, I talked about the cultural history of smoking in the docu-<br />
mentary by Fritz Muri on Swiss television channel SF1 (2 April, 2009, █ Page 81/83). As favors to<br />
friends, I gave the laudatio on the occasion of the resignation of Alois Martin Müller as Director<br />
of the <strong>Hochschule</strong> <strong>für</strong> <strong>Gestaltung</strong> und Kunst Basel (FHBB) [Bale University of Arts and Design]<br />
on 5 September, 2009, and on 1 December, the speech commemorating artist Paul Uwe<br />
Dreyer, Rector Emeritus of the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart [Stuttgart State<br />
Academy of Art and Design], who had passed away on 10 November, 2008.<br />
