PRESENT-A-PART
– we wanted to solve the problem of a cheap wire hanger that doesn’t have enough consistency
to present clothes nicely. the idea was to combine the hanger with the transportation
problem
– critique on fashion presentation: if it is not a catwalk, it lacks movement
– our common approach was not only to sit and discuss, but to produce a finished product
– one of the highest values for me in design is to have the product be self-explanatory
– we went on this rooftop in the middle of the park yesterday night and it was amazing.
you couldn’t see and hear the city anymore. we were only surrounded by the trees and the
birdsong.

– started to create the installation all day in the garage – “there is a chance to succeed”
– in fact, our idea is that body is body and shirt is shirt, but in fact there is that emotional
thing about the interweaving of both: you can only take the clothes, if you cut the glue.

12:00 – david and leda are found in a relaxed morning state, quite advanced in their work
– I’m not sure about the aestheic part, but we will see
E: the idea, I like. It’s easy to communicate, because it’s art. I have aesthetic doubts. we
spoke about the hair, that it possibly must be real. We are considering making the siliconstrings
part of the clothes.

9:30 – the presentation takes place in the garage
– we don’t have the total morbid but the semi-morbid
– we could also use “shirt is shirt and brown is brown” as a title
– the idea was to have the hanger connected to the skirt to become part of the outfit
– we connected different parts of the clothes so as to wear them differently,
we also made silicon lables
– i had some doubt about the green, he had some doubt about the flowers
– i personally wanted it to be more horrible, more meaty, but it’s ok
– wearing second-hand clothes, there is some emotional trace left in them, so you get a
feeling of the person whom it belonged to before.
– I tried to do her thing and she tried to do my idea and we think that this is the interesting
thing about it.
