What can a policy include? ILO guidelines – • General statement – sets out how the policy relates to the local context and other company policies. • General principles – for example, the organisation will not tolerate discrimination, the organisation understands that HIV can affect anyone at anytime, no-one is immune.
• What support the organisation can offer – a) financial support through testing and treatment b) prevention through education, information and training • Implementation and Monitoring – how the policy will be implemented across the organisation asking for all employees to pledge their support. How the policy will be monitored to determine if it is successful and reviewed.
