Issuing a Reverse Command From Your Keypad
When the Forward indicator is lit, pressing the F/R
(Forward/Reverse) button sends a Reverse
command to the drive and turns On the Reverse
indicator (the Forward indicator goes out).
The Reverse indicator will flash while the drive is
running in the forward direction and will continue to
flash until the drive reaches zero speed. The
Reverse indicator will be lit steady when the drive
begins running in the reverse direction and will
remain steady as long as both the commanded
direction and drive direction are Reverse.
You can issue a Reverse command at any time if
Reverse direction is enabled and the drive is in
KEYPAD mode. If the drive is running in a forward
direction, it causes the drive to change direction. If
the drive is stopped, the drive turns in a reverse
direction the next time you issue a Start command.
This operation can be disabled via a software
parameter (see Section 4, Using the Parameters,
for more information).
The F/R command should not be used to
permanently reverse motor direction. To change
motor direction, disconnect power and reverse any
two motor leads.
Step 1. With the Forward indicator lit, press the
F/R (Forward/Reverse) button.
