AF93/IS903 Parameter Descriptions
USING THE PARAMETERS
Note that ACCEL TIME and DECEL TIME are
generated by the AF93/IS903 software and due
to actual application the motor may not come to
full speed or decelerate to a stop in exactly the
length of time you have set.
Accel Time
Specifications
Parameter Number: 11
Mnemonic: ACCEL TIME
Range of Adjustment: 0.1 to 999 sec
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 5 sec
This parameter defines the time it takes the drive to
go from zero to Maximum Speed. The drive will not
exceed the load limit to meet this acceleration time.
Decel Time
Specifications
Parameter Number: 12
Mnemonic: DECEL TIME
Range of Adjustment: 0.1 to 999 sec
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 5 sec
This parameter defines the time it takes the drive to
go from Maximum Speed to zero. On high inertia,
low friction applications, the drive may decelerate in
a greater length of time unless a braking resistor is
present.
Accel/Decel 2 or Jog
Specifications
Parameter Number: 13
Mnemonic: ACCEL2 OR JOG
Range of Adjustment: ÒACCEL/DECEL 2Ó or
ÒJOGÓ
Run Locked?: Yes
Factory Setting: ÒJOGÓ
This parameter defines whether the drive will have
a secondary acceleration/deceleration time (Accel
Time 2 and Decel Time 2) or implement the jog
speed function (Jog Speed) when terminal 11 is
connected to terminal 7 while the drive is in the
REMOTE mode.
AF93/IS903 Instruction Manual
4-16
If ÒACCEL/DECEL 2Ó is chosen, the drive is in
REMOTE mode, and terminal 11 is connected to
terminal 7, Accel Time (parameter 11) and Decel
Time (parameter 12) are ignored. The drive will
use Accel Time 2 (parameter 14) and Decel Time
2 (parameter 15) instead. Note that both the
acceleration and deceleration times are affected.
If ÒJOGÓ is selected, whenever terminal 11 is
connected to terminal 7 and RUN enable is
present (terminal 8 connected to terminal 7), the
drive goes into JOG mode at the speed set by
Jog Speed (parameter 33). Note that Jog
overrides the speed setpoint established by
ÒSPEED FOLLOWERÓ, ÒPI REGULATORÓ, and
Preset Speed x (parameters 26 to 32). See
Remote Function, Priority Interaction in REMOTE
Mode, for more information.
Accel Time 2
Specifications
Parameter Number: 14
Mnemonic: ACCEL TIME 2
Range of Adjustment: 0.1 to 999 sec
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 5 sec
If ÒACCEL/DECEL 2Ó is chosen, the drive is in
REMOTE mode, and terminal 11 is connected to
terminal 7, this parameter defines the time it
takes the drive to go from zero to Maximum
Speed.
Decel Time 2
Specifications
Parameter Number: 15
Mnemonic: DECEL TIME 2
Range of Adjustment: 0.1 to 999 sec
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 5 sec
If ÒACCEL/DECEL 2Ó (parameter 13) is chosen,
the drive is in REMOTE mode, and terminal 11 is
connected to terminal 7, this parameter defines
the time it takes the drive to go from Maximum
Speed to zero.
