AF93/IS903 Parameter Descriptions
USING THE PARAMETERS
Jump Speeds 1 through 3
Specifications
Parameter Number: 34 to 36
Mnemonic: JUMP SPEED x LO
where ÒxÓ is a value of 1 to 3
Range of Adjustment: Minimum Speed to
Maximum Speed
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 0
These parameters set jump speeds which are
used to avoid operating at speeds that create
problems with mechanical resonance. The jump
speeds, combined with Jump Width (parameter
37), create frequency windows. The drive can
accelerate or decelerate smoothly through the
windows, but will not stop at any frequency within
a window. Jump frequency windows are
illustrated in the graph shown below.
Jump Width
Specifications
Parameter Number: 37
Mnemonic: JUMP WIDTH
Range of Adjustment: 0 to Maximum Speed
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 0
This parameter allows you to define the band
width of frequencies around each jump speed
where the drive will not operate continuously.
DC Injection Braking
Specifications
Parameter Number: 38
Mnemonic: DC BRAKE TIME
Range of Adjustment: 0 to 16 sec
Run Locked?: No
Factory Setting: 0.0 sec
This parameter defines how long in seconds that
DC injection braking lasts. When DC current is
injected into the windings of an induction motor,
the motor acts as a brake. Approximately 20%
braking torque is injected for the period of time
set by this parameter when the motor speed
drops below 5 Hz.
Relay 1 and
Relay 2
Specifications
Parameter Number: 39 and 40
Mnemonic: RELAY 1 or RELAY 2
Range of Adjustment: One of the following eight
functions can be selected
for each of the two relays:
ÒREADYÓ, ÒRUNÓ,
ÒREVERSEÓ, ÒKEYPADÓ,
ÒAT SPEEDÓ, ÒZERO
SPEEDÓ, ÒLOAD LIMITÓ,
ÒOVERLOAD WARNINGÓ
Run Locked?: Yes
Factory Setting: Relay 1: ÒRUNÓ
Relay 2: ÒAT SPEEDÓ
RELAY 1 defines the relay function when drive is
in RUN mode. RELAY 2 defines the relay
function when drive is Òat speedÓ.
