Senior Seminar 1 credit<br />
Prerequisite: Senior major in Spanish. The seminar addresses<br />
the college-wide general education senior theme and text for<br />
that year. The common senior experience includes discussion<br />
sessions, a convocation presentation, a timed written essay,<br />
and an objective test assessment based upon general<br />
education goals. Cross-listed with FRE490. Spanish majors<br />

Guided Research for Majors 2 credits<br />
This course serves as a comprehensive review and<br />
demonstration of skills acquired by the Spanish major.<br />
Students prepare specific projects which incorporate<br />
communication skills, cultural understanding, and the ability<br />
to research, refine, organize, and present a topic of particular<br />
interest. The course requires a term paper and an oral<br />
presentation of the research in Spanish. It is a capstone<br />
course and satisfies the degree requirement for the senior<br />

Backstage Laboratory in<br />
Technical Theatre I 2 credits<br />
A laboratory experience in all phases of theatre production.<br />
Students assist the instructor in building and painting sets,<br />
lighting, costuming, prop management, and house<br />
management on several theatrical productions during the<br />
semester. All learning is hands-on involvement during class<br />
129
