Major for Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Psychology: A<br />

minimum of 60 credits in the sciences, including the same<br />

required courses for the bachelor of arts in psychology, plus<br />

25 credits of courses in biology above 150-level, chemistry,<br />

mathematics above 140-level, physics, and psychology.<br />

Concentrations:<br />

The major program may also include a 14-15 credit<br />

concentration in one of three areas:<br />

Human Resources Development:<br />

PSY 220, 310, 360, BUS 101 and 351.<br />

Clinical Health Psychology:<br />

PSY 330, 360, 370, SOC 335, and ECN 315, ECN 345<br />

Sport Psychology:<br />

PSY 310, 340, 360, 370, ESS 120 or 354.<br />

Non-majors who have completed PSY 230 and 335, or<br />

received permission, may also enroll in the clinical health or<br />

sport psychology concentration.<br />

Minor: 20 guided credits as appropriate to student’s goals.<br />

Associate in Arts Degree: 19 credits including PSY 101, 220,<br />

230, and 250.<br />

Social Studies Major, Psychology: as a supporting area: 13<br />

credits composed of PSY 101, 220, 230, and 250.<br />

Social Studies Minor, Psychology: 24 credits including PSY<br />

101, 220, 230, 250, 325, and nine credits of diversified social<br />

studies work in three areas other than psychology.<br />

451, and 490. A minimum grade of “C” is required for all<br />

sociology courses required for the major.<br />

Minor: 18 credits, excluding SOC 100 and including 101.<br />

SPANISH (SPA)<br />

Major for Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Spanish: 31-32<br />

credits 200-level and above including SPA 200, 201, 220, 230,<br />

Minor: 18 credits above the 100-level to be determined in<br />

consultation with the advisor.<br />

THEATRE (THE)<br />

Minor in Theatre: 18 hours including THE 100, 120 and 231.<br />

Students are required to complete one theatre related<br />

history/literature course chosen from ENG 330, 336, FRE 345<br />

or MUS 380 (History of Musical theatre) and seven credits of<br />

theatre electives from THE 200, 260, 360, 380, ART 106, 201,<br />

206, COM 235, or MUS 200. Electives may also include up to<br />

three credits of THE 108.<br />

THEOLOGY (THL)<br />

228, 232 or 236, 361 or elective, and 490. Also required are<br />

PHL 130, 350, three credits of electives in philosophy, and<br />

two Catholic studies courses seated in other disciplines.<br />

Philosophy: 39 credits including PHL 130, 150 or 240 or 350,<br />

203 or 205, 215, 320, 330, 349, 490; THL 105, 228, 232 or<br />

332; and two Catholic studies courses seated in other<br />

disciplines.<br />

Pre-Theology: 48 credits including PHL 130, 150, 203, 205,<br />

215, 320, 330, 349, 350, 490, THL 103, 105, 216, 226 or 228;<br />

and two Catholic studies courses seated in other disciplines.<br />

Major for Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Pastoral<br />

Leadership: 39 credits including THL 105, 170, 205, 208, 216,<br />

226, 228, 232, 236, 321 or 322, 361, 474, and 490. Also<br />

required are 24 credits of support courses comprised of nine<br />

credits from PSY 220, 230, and either 101 or 335 or 355; nine<br />

credits from SOC 101, 210, 265; six credits from PHL 130 and<br />

either 215, 220, 240 or 350; and continuous mentoring and<br />

internship participation.<br />
