ECONOMICS (ECN)<br />

Major for Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Economics: 30<br />

credits of economics courses including 201, 202, 205, 301,<br />

302 and a choice of five courses from the following: 310, 315,<br />

320, 325, 345, 350, 380, 420, and 480. Also required: BUS<br />

101, 290, 401, MAT 215 or 230, and MIS 101. A grade of “C”<br />

or higher must be earned in all economics courses.<br />

Minor: 18 credits of economics including 201 and 202, and<br />

excluding 205.<br />

Teaching requirements: Students who wish to teach in this<br />

content area must meet all requirements for the major field,<br />

and also meet the School of Education’s developmental<br />

licensing requirements. Contact the director of secondary<br />

education for high school licensing program descriptions and<br />

specifics for each licensure area. All courses are subject to<br />

change based upon current requirements from the Division of<br />

Professional Standards, Indiana Department of Education.<br />

FINANCE (FIN)<br />

Major for Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Finance: 30<br />

credits including <strong>11</strong>1, 310, 3<strong>11</strong>, 356, 357, 360, 420, 455, ACC<br />

210, and 2<strong>11</strong>. Also required: ACC 430, 431, BUS 101, 205, 240,<br />

250, 290, 301, 401, MIS 101, 201, ECN 201 and 202.<br />

Minor: 21 credits including <strong>11</strong>1, 310, 3<strong>11</strong>, 360, ACC 210, 2<strong>11</strong>,<br />

and three credits of approved finance electives. Also<br />

required: BUS 101, 290, 301, ECN 202, and MIS 101.<br />

MANAGEMENT (MGT)<br />

Major for Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Management:<br />

42 credits in management and business including BUS 101,<br />

205, 240, 250, 290, 301, 350, 401, and 495. One international<br />

course from BUS 338, 450, ECN 325, BUS 363 and 12 credits<br />

in upper-division management electives from the following<br />

list: BUS 262, 305, 325, 330, 342, 346, 351, 352, 353, 356,<br />

357, 358, 361, 362, 3710, 371, 372, 375, and 485. Also<br />

required: ACC 210, 2<strong>11</strong>, ECN 201, 202, FIN 310, MIS 101 and<br />

201. Students are encouraged to complete three to six credits<br />

of BUS 360, Internship. Management majors must receive a<br />

grade of “C” or higher in the 12 credits of upper division<br />

management electives.<br />

MARKETING (MKT)<br />

Major for Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Marketing: 42<br />

credits in marketing and business including BUS 101, 205,<br />

240, 250, 290, 301, 350, 363, 401, and 495. One international<br />

course BUS 338, 450, or ECN 325, and 12 credits in upper<br />

division marketing electives from the following list: BUS<br />

305,325, 338, 341, 342, 344, 346, 348 and 485. Please note:<br />

students may not count BUS 338 toward both the<br />

international course requirement and the upper division<br />

marketing elective. Also required: ACC 210, 2<strong>11</strong>, ECN 201,<br />

202, FIN 310, MIS 101, and 201. Students are encouraged to<br />

complete three to six credits of BUS 360, Internship.<br />

Marketing majors must receive a grade of “C” or higher in all<br />

upper division marketing electives.<br />
