2. Scientific and Quantitative Reasoning (10-12 credits)<br />

Two science courses, one science lab (listed science courses include a lab unless otherwise stated).<br />

CHE <strong>11</strong>0 Fundamentals of General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry I<br />

CHE 151 General Chemistry I<br />

ENV 170/171 Introduction to Environmental Science / optional lab<br />

PHY <strong>11</strong>0 General Physics I<br />

SCI 101 Earth Sciences<br />

SCI 102 Life Sciences<br />

SCI 103/104 Physical Sciences / optional lab<br />

NOTE: The second semester of two semester sequences (CHE <strong>11</strong>1, CHE 152, PHY <strong>11</strong>1) can be used to fulfill this requirement.<br />

<strong>Course</strong>s in the natural sciences required by the student’s major may be substituted for courses on the above list.<br />

One mathematics course determined by placement (MAT 105 or higher), or BUS/ECN 205 or PSY 205, or POL/SOC 205 for<br />

POL/SOC majors.<br />
