and gained an understanding of the effects of severe
deformations associated with hydroforming on the
distortions in welded assemblies. Our accomplishements
included the development of numerical procedures to
simulate the hydroforming process and to predict
formability to optimize the process conditions for a given
part geometry and tube/extrusion material.
