Odonata & Collectibles Storage System Cabinets
Originally produced as custom cabinets to house Odonata (dragonflies and
damselflies) specimens, this series offers storage capability not only for insect
specimens but also for a wide range of zoology collections and collectibles.
Two models housing 8 or 17 glass-topped drawers are offered.
These versatile units answer the need for secure, organized and virtually
air-tight storage for hobbyists as well as institutions.
The 8-drawer cabinet is available with walnut or teak wood grain Pionite 7
laminate exterior. The 17 drawer cabinet is available with either Pionite 7
laminate or steel exterior covering with four color options. Lift-off hinges for
door removal are provided, and a 3-point locking handle secures the door at
the side, top and bottom.

Odonata
Specimen Envelopes
These optically clear envelopes
are the preferred method for housing
Odonata collections. A dried
dragonfly or damselfly and a 3" x
5" file card are inserted into a
transparent envelope. Envelopes
are closed by stapling, folding or
heat sealing. Specimens are filed vertically in a suitable
box, and can be examined without removal from the envelope.
Fragile parts, which may be broken, can be retained
with specimens.
End-opening envelopes are made of 1.25 mil ultra-clear,
non-static polypropylene, a chemically inert plastic suitable
for long-term specimen storage. Dimensions are 3-1/2" x 6"
long (8.9 x 15 cm). Sold in lots of 100.

Odonata Envelope & Collectibles Drawer
This glass-topped basswood drawer originally was designed
for Odonata envelope storage. It is 1-1/2" (38mm)
deeper than a Cornell system equivalent, allowing envelopes
to be stored on edge in three rows front to back. The
drawer is also ideal for specimens or collectibles that are
too tall for other drawers. It features the same one-piece
construction technique used in other BioQuip drawers for
tight fit of top to bottom sections of the drawer frame, and
is spray finished with sealer and clear acrylic gloss. A
combination cardholder/drawer pull is provided.

Odonata Storage Tray
Custom designed unit trays facilitate organization and
storage of Odonata specimens in envelopes. A single
tray is easily removed from a drawer for working with a
specific group of specimens. The tray is also convenient
when this storage system is used to house collectibles.
Trays are made from heavy duty .05" chipboard covered
with white glazed paper. Drawer capacity is 9 trays. Dimensions
are 5-7/8 x 5 x 2" high. Note: this tray does not

Odonata Envelope Heat Sealer
Heat sealer features preset sealing time
for a consistently flat seal 2mm wide. Unit
is equipped with Teflon coated element
that gets hot only during sealing period.
No warm-up is required - simply place
envelope between sealing bars and
press down. Sealer length: 4" (102mm).
