Tropics Net
The Tropics Net is an original BioQuip design meeting space
limitations of air travelers. It consists of six 2-foot aluminum
segments that screw together to form a lightweight handle up to
12 feet in length. Net ring is spring steel with 18" diameter, and
net bag is white aerial. Net bag options include bags in dark
green or extra soft white or sand netting.
When disassembled, the net is about 25" x 3", and fits compactly
in a suitcase. It is intended for use in a vertical position to
trap high flying insects. Use in a horizontal position at the 12-foot
length is not recommended.
This net offers the user great collecting versatility. The handle’s
length can be varied by omitting or adding segments. When
smaller ring sizes are desired, 7351A or 7352 rings may be
used along with any 12" or 15" diameter net bag. Collectors not
requiring a 12-foot handle may order components needed to
make up a shorter net.

Tropics Net Tote Bag
Storage and travel companion for the 7324 Tropics
Net, heavy cotton twill bag keeps all components in
one convenient, organized place. Bag has six pockets
for handle segments, a long pocket for ring and bag,
and a pocket for replacement bags and spare parts.
Bent portion of the net ring should be inserted into the
rounded bottom end of the bag so that the ring may
be removed safely. Top end of the bag has a Velcro
fastener and carrying loop. Bag is 30" long, 9" wide.
The Tote Bag also works well for securing and
transporting folding nets and net handle extensions
described on page 47.

Monarch Net
BioQuip’s Monarch Net provides a compact, convenient
and safe means for capturing insects generally
inaccessible by conventional collecting methods. This
unusual, sturdy telescoping collecting net is a giant step
up in vertical reach from the popular 7324 Tropics Net.
The handle is 76" long when fully collapsed, but can be
extended from 7 feet to over 18-1/2 feet. The net bag
and angle adapter on the handle provide another 2 feet.
With the additional height of the user, a total reach of 24
- 26 feet is possible. The net may be used in a vertical or
horizontal position, and the angle adapter may be tipped
to 135° in 22° increments.
The largest of the three tempered aluminum telescoping
tubes comprising the handle is 1-1/4" diameter, ribbed for
structural strength. Two extension tubes are secured into
desired position by twist lock devices requiring no tools.
The adjustable angle adapter is fabricated of rugged
plastic, and any of 13 angles is set by interlocking
notches, easily tightened with a wing-nut. The spring
steel net ring is 18" diameter, and aerial bag is white.
The complete net weighs 4 lbs.
FIELD
CAUTION: Do not use the Monarch Net in the vicinity of
overhead electrical wires.
A rugged PVC shipping tube has been designed to hold
the Monarch Net. It is 2-1/2" diameter x 90" long with a
threaded end cap for access at one end. The unit may be
checked as airline baggage, and is an ideal collecting
tool taken anywhere worldwide. It can be shipped by
U.P.S. or FedEx ‘Oversize’ (70 lb.) rate and $6.50 excessive
length surcharge. Weight with PVC case is 9-3/4 lbs.
