Lightweight and very portable
because of its smaller size,
this press is frequently used
by botanists, entomologists
and ecologists collecting host
food plant specimens.
The press is 9 x 12" (23 x
30.5 cm). Redesigned and improved frames are now made
from sturdy 1/4" exterior grade fir plywood, reinforced along
the long edges with 1" oak strips to prevent stress damage
from the straps. Twelve absorbent driers, 12 corrugated ventilators,
and two 48" polyester web straps with sliding buckles
are included. Weight is 3-1/2 pounds. Extra or replacement
driers and ventilators are listed below.

Tree Seedling Tray
This 98-cell tray system provides a
superior method for botanists and entomologists
to raise seedlings for insect
colonies or rearing experiments
in forestry programs. Individual cells
can be rearranged within each tray,
permitting individual seedlings to be
moved for optimum environmental
conditions, or removed as needed for transplanting or shipping.
Cells are low-density plastic and can be used 3 - 5 times. They
have anti-spiral ribs and a bottom drainage hole with side drain
holes on the tapered end. Seedlings can be shipped in cells to
protect against moisture loss and damage to root systems.
Trays are made of durable polystyrene and have a life expectancy
of 8 - 10 years. Racks are partially vented on the surface
to provide more air flow between cells, and have locking corners
for easy stacking and storage.
Cell dimensions are 1.5" dia. x 5.5 depth (3.8 x 14 cm). Tray
dimensions are 24" long x 12" wide x 6.9" high (61 x 30 x 18 cm).

Plant Seedling Trays
Hiko7 sprouting trays are used worldwide in nurseries, greenhouses,
and labs for the production of high-quality seedlings
and cuttings. They are convenient for propagating tree seedlings
in forest entomology programs or for flowering host plants.
These reusable trays are made of durable, high-density polyethylene,

cavities have vertical root training ribs to prevent root spiraling.

They are made of aluminum sheet
wrapped around tagboard. Write on tags
