Beating Net
Recently added beating net features the same design used in BioQuip’s
heavy-duty nets. The V-shaped bag allows the user to retrieve collected
specimens easily. It is 15 inches (38cm) in diameter and 9 inches (23cm)
deep, fabricated from sailcloth with Dacron sailtape banding. This net bag
is available separately for those already using a 7625HS net. The hardwood
handle is 24 inches (61cm) by 1 inch (25mm) in diameter. It may be
shortened to suit the user’s preference. An 18-inch-long (46cm), 3/4-inch
(19mm) hardwood beating stick is provided with the net and is also available
separately.

Step-Up/Step-Down Voltage Transformer
BioQuip 7
Aerial net bags made of nylon no-see-um mesh have been added to BioQuip's
extensive line of net bags. The closely woven mesh has little wind resistance and
is very lightweight—only .8 oz. per square yard. Visibility through the mesh is
excellent. These net bags are intended for aerial use only, as they tend to snag on
brush and thorned plants. Net bags and yardage are available in either white or
black. (No mesh specifications are currently available.)

Tick Drag
Step-up/step-down transformer converts 220V AC to 120V AC, or 120V AC to 220V AC
electrical current. It is used in countries with 220V AC electricity. The 500-watt capacity
transformer can operate two 175-watt mercury vapor lights described on catalog page
52. It also allows 220V AC electrical products to be used with 110V AC current. The black
metal case is equipped with “on/off” switch, red LED power indicating lamp, and AC
shock-proof sockets. Includes two extra fuses.

Heavy-Duty Sweep Net with Three-Foot Handle
BioQuip now manufactures a heavy-duty sweep net with a three-foot handle
in addition to the standard 7625HS net supplied with a two-foot handle. Hardwood
handle is 3 feet (91.5cm) long and 1 inch (25mm) in diameter. See
catalog page 45 for description of ring and bag.

Based on a widely used method for collecting ticks, this
tick drag measures 23 x 45" (58 x 114 cm). The sheet is
made of muslin, and is sewn into a Dacron sail tape hem.
It is attached to a 1" (25mm) dowel with stainless steel
screws. The Tick drag is pulled behind the user with ten
feet of polypropylene cord attached to ends of the dowel.
