Steel Herbarium Cabinets
For permanent protective storage of botanical specimens,
BioQuip recommends all-steel herbarium cabinets. Available
in both standard or full height, these air tight units
have 12 or 26 compartments arranged in two rows. Air
space at the front and rear of shelves permits circulation
of fumigant. Lift-off doors facilitate access to cabinets in
daily use or when transferring specimens from one area
to another.
These herbarium cabinets have proven to be excellent
storage units over a period of many years in institutions
throughout the world.

Good quality, heavy white tag stock on which dried botanical
specimens and marine algae are mounted. Smooth surfaced
sheets are 11-1/2 x 16-1/2" (29 x 42 cm), .0095 caliper; weight
is 12 oz. per dozen cards.

Rag Mounting Cards
Acid free rag mounting cards are used to mount botanical specimens
in permanent collections. High-quality ivory paper has
100% rag content with neutral pH factor, .012 caliper. Cards are
11-1/2 x 16-1/2" (29 x 42 cm), and weigh 12 oz. per dozen.

Botany Paste

100% rag fragment folders
are used to retain small,
loose parts of plants such
as seeds or flowers. They
are stapled or taped to
3135 or 3137 mounting
cards thus keeping all
parts of the plant specimen
together. White folders are
a combination of all cotton
fiber and a neutral pH to insure permanence. They are designed
to make a simple tuck fold for security of fragments, and are
scored for for easy, accurate folding; shipped flat.
